Dixon and his social media team are nothing short of incredible.
I was frantically trying to find mattresses for my home by the week’s end before my kids moved in. I wasn’t having any confident luck on Marketplace, and I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg on new. In my 40 years of life, I learned memory foam is NOT the way to go, so I wasn’t going to shell out money on mattresses I’d hate either. I needed quality, I needed affordable, and I needed it ASAP.
I found Mattresses By Appt by accident on Marketplace. I liked the idea of paying a fraction of the cost for a new mattress, and figured it had to do with overstock sellout.
Upon writing in, I was talking to a real person who was from all angles, trying to work with my particular situation. I can’t for the life of me remember her name, but she was fantastic to work with and had the finesse we all crave when dealing with customer service representatives.
Mattresses By Appt has a policy that they won’t sell you a mattress without coming down to their location and actually seeing and trying out their mattresses. At first, with my busy schedule, I didn’t know how I was going to make that work. But I made it happen because 1) That’s an excellent business policy and if I had a mattress business, I’d write that into my policies too and 2) This is not a purchase I wanted to come to regret.
So I get down there. And I met Dixon. You guys….Dixon was hands down the COOLEST dude. He is so down-to-Earth and personable. Furthermore, Dixon took the time and consideration to explain how his business model works, and exactly what to expect with finances with these products. The process of getting approved was ridiculously simple. And the mattresses were FANTASTIC. It was a little difficult for me to choose the one I wanted for me because I was torn between probably 4 options. But he helped me break down my options and asked all the right engaging questions to help me decide. It wasn’t as difficult to choose the ones I wanted for the kids. In the end, there are zero hidden fees, you know exactly what to expect, and the terms were perfect for my life situation. Oh, and they DELIVERED to me in Mt Pleasant! From Rockford!!
I cannot say enough good things about Dixon and his team. They are good, wholesome people and phenomenal at what they do. I took extra business cards with me because I’m telling everybody about them. When I need mattresses in the future, and I will, I know who I’m calling.

We just purchased 2 beds and frames and are totally satisfied with our decision . Our daughter ( Lily) is sleeping so much better and we are thankful we connected with Mattress by Appt . Lily is autistic and has gone thru dozens of mattress’s thru the years but I believe we have found the right frame and mattress. Dixon did a lot of research for us , and special ordered the right frame and mattress based on Lily’s special needs.( Solid frame, Wet resistant on the mattress). We are very pleased. . Hunter worked hard on the delivery and install .Thank you !!!

Mattress by appointment was a unique experience. We tried every possible option of firmness and flexibility with the base. We had talked about getting an adjustable base, well, this was the place to go for answers to any questions! We not only bought our base and our wonderful mattress, we bought my mom a new mattress as well! Mom couldn’t be sleeping better! I have a bad back and have had multiple back surgeries at different levels. The first night I only woke up once (after 2 hours) because of a leg cramp! And then I slept 8 hours! I am so so ecstatic!! Wonderful!! Thank you! And Hunter was a great guy who shares common interests. The guys were speedy delivery and set up men. 5 ⭐️ and many 🙏🏽 thanks.

Honestly if I could give this guy a 10 star I would. Delivery was prompt and due to some personal circumstances, he was able to meet my needs and go above and beyond.

What an amazing place.. Dixon was so helpful and they have mattresses set up and you literally try the beds before you buy a new one it's a rather cool process... The whole experience was very smooth.. we absolutely love our new mattress... Thank you for all the help

I have only the BEST things to say about Dixon from Mattress by Appointment- Rockford.
First of all, we texted him on a Friday evening asking his availability. He responded within minutes and was available right then for my husband and I to go take a look.
The selection and price gave us multiple options that we found comfortable and in our price point. I also purchased a new pillow that has quickly become my favorite and travels with me:)
But more than price and selection, we felt welcomed to take our time to find the right mattress. I never felt rushed and pressured, which is worth so much in my mind.
I would not hesitate at all to recommend going to Mattress by Appointment! Dixon runs his company with the highest integrity!

Our experience with Dixon was amazing. What to expect at an appointment only shop: a personalized shopping experience, Dixon takes his time to explain everything and never once pushed any prices or products. In fact, throughout the experience he made it clear customer satisfaction was his main priority, and not maxing out commission. He took us through a rotation of trying the entire spectrum of firmness (or soft) and we were able to pick the mattress that felt the best to us, and when I started feeling indecisive about our top 2 instead of feeling awkwardly rushed Dixon encouraged me to keep comparing the feel of the 2 if I wasn’t sure. After getting the mattress home I didn’t wake up until 2pm the next day, not sore for the first time in a long time. The Facebook communication was prompt, answered all questions, and didn’t withhold any information as “bait” to schedule an appointment. Delivery was provided by Dixon himself at the most fair price I’ve come across yet. Our experience ended feeling like we will see Dixon at the family reunion next year! If you need a mattress this is without a doubt the place to go.

Originally, I orded a matress from a big box company, after more than a week they didn't have a delivery date. So I made an appointment via their FaceBook Marketplace AD. My appointment was at 5 pm and by 8 pm they delivered my matress. Not to mention this matress is far more comfortable that the one I originally got from the other store so I'm byond happy.
